Thierry Truffaut (1957 - Bayonne, Labourd) is an anthropologist, organiser and, above all, a carnival enthusiast. He has written several reference works on the subject and in this interview looks back at the revival of late 20th century Labourdin carnivals, highlighting the challenges for this not-to-be-missed event in Basque culture.
