The Batekmila travelling exhibition online!
All of the "Batekmila - Basque Worlds" travelling exhibition's multimedia content (videos, photos, texts, sound ...), designed in 2007 by the Basque Cultural Institute is available for consultation in five languages online at www.basqueworlds.com. The Batekmila travelling exhibition online!
In 2008 "Batekmila - Basque Worlds" received UNESCO approval within the framework of the International Year of Languages. During its travels in the Basque Country, France and Catalonia, the exhibition invited visitors to discover and question the use and experience of a millenary language - euskara - and its culture.
Today all the exhibition's audiovisual content is accessible at www.basqueworlds.com. A web application available in five languages (French, Basque, Spanish, English and Catalan) enables users to consult the multimedia supports appreciated by so many visitors.
This website was put online thanks to the help of Gipuzkoa's Provincial Government (Cultural Service and Koldo Mitxelena Cultural Centre) which also coproduced the travelling Batekmila exhibition.
