Batekmila-Basque Worlds in Vitoria-Gasteiz

May 07, 2008

After its success in Bayonne, San Sebastian and Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz will be host to the Basque Cultural Institute's "Batekmila-Basque Worlds" exhibition until 31 May.

Batekmila-Basque Worlds in Vitoria-Gasteiz

What does it mean to be Basque today?

This is the question raised by this exhibition which invites visitors to discover and explore the lives and experiences of Basques.

A sensory journey into the heart of a sound and visual universe, a kaleidoscope of accounts by contemporary artists, photographers, writers, musicians, directors, etc.

The exhibition's first presentation in Bayonne was a real success.

There are two reasons for this. The exhibition questions modern Basque identity and culture, using both innovative scenography and technology. It is also available in four languages (Basque, French, English and Spanish), making it accessible to as wide an audience as possible.

"Batekmila-Basque World's" will be presented at the Vitoria's Amarica hall until 31 May 2008.

Free entrance.
