Pierre Haira (1951, Ustaritz - Labourd) is a well-known gaita player and above all one of the masterminds behind the Hartzaro Festival, which is also part of the carnival in Ustaritz. This Member of the Errobiko Kaskarotak Association which organises the festival, reviews its origins. This year (2011) - the 15th edition - will begin on 25 February.
