Jon Iruretagoyena (1985 – Mendionde, Labourd) is a danser and choreographer. He is president of the Maritzuli company and teaches Basque dance at the IDB, as well as for other programmes*. At Biarritz’s Temps d’Aimer la Danse he talked about the history of Souletine dance techniques at a conference which surprised the audience and led to this interview.

Basque dance course in Hendaye :
From mid-September 2013, Jon Iruretagoyena has been teaching a Basque dance course in Hendaye as part of a partnership between the Basque Cultual Institute and the Maurice Ravel Academy. Each week he brings together a group of seven to eight pupils throughout the school year and hopes that there will be a new class each year.
