Peio Çabalette (Iholdy) and Joël Merah (1969, Bayonne) are composers, harmonizers, musicians and teachers at Bayonne’s Conservatoire Maurice Ravel. This interview is the occasion to look back with them at the partnership between the Conservatoire and the Basque Cultural Institute, whose aim is to develop the knowledge and dissemination of Basque culture in this quite specific discipline.
