Harkaitz Martinez and Igor Otxoa
(Basque Country – San Sebastian) - Two Basque musicians in search of exchanges between cultures
Harkaitz Martinez de San Vicente and Igor Otxoa formed the txalaparta (Basque percussion) group "Oreka Tx" in 1997.
They were behind the "Nomadak Tx" project and the documentary film of the same name which was released in November 2006.
Their dream: make the txalaparta (Basque percussion instrument) a meeting point between cultures. With this in mind the two protagonists have travelled far afield in search of sounds and voices.
